Electronics & Information Engineering School Of Central South University of Forestry & Technology 

    In the Electronics & Information Engineering School, there are four specialties for taking a bachelor degree: electronics & information engineering, computer science & technology, automation specialty, communication engineering. There is one specialty with a master degree: computer science & technology. Four staff room: electronics, automation , communication engineering and computer. Two laboratories: circuit & electronics technology and electronics & information engineering as well as one electronics & information engineering institute.
    There is a staff of 45 (of which 39 are fulltime), 19 professors and associate professors (42.2% full-time), In this staff, 6 teachers, 13.3% of the full-time, have received doctor degrees, 14 teachers, 45.2% of the full-time, have master degrees. Two teachers have even been awarded the Hunan teaching mainstay award.
    In the last two years our school has gained one 2nd class merit of province, fulfilled one research project of province, edited two teaching material books and published more than twenty articles in authority magazines.
    Our school is sticking to the principle of training all-powerful talents in their moral, intellectual and physical development, focusing on work for local and industrial economy, and has trained over one thousand graduates and postgraduates. At present, there are more than 1300 students enrolled in our school. The rate of employment after graduation is over 97%. Our school received one 3rd class merit in the 2000 Hunan Challenge, one 2nd class merit of nation, one 1st class merit and two 3rd class merits of province in the 2001 National College Student Electronics Competition.
